Stair Measurements Made Simple
We keep stair measurements simple so your carpenter and our sales team can get you exactly what you need, without a lot of back-and-forth.
For new builds, we ask your carpenter for a few key details:

Floor-to-floor height and overall length of the staircase.

Stair width, number of risers and treads, plus basic tread/riser sizes.

Stair layout (straight, L-shaped with a landing, U-shaped, or curved).

Where railings will go (wall side, open side, and any balcony/overlook areas).

Where newel posts are needed and the preferred railing height to meet code.

Replacement and remodel stairs
